Newsflash...my brother, who hasn't been home for five years was home last weekend to tell us in person that he joined the Marines. He's almost thirty and he can do what he wants but geez, why the Marines? Why now? Well my parents were...um...Shocked and AWED. Sheesh. Like my mom doesn't stay up till 1 am listening to the war already...

On a lighter note, I've neglected this site a tad.

The world has changed since I last updated this site, amazing what several thousand American soldiers, backed by the support of about thirty nations can do in a month.

Also interesting what a couple of two-ton bombs followed by a few dozen tomahawk missiles can do to an Iraqi dictator and his regime. A few people "in the know" have said that Saddam has been room temperature within the first few minutes of bombing on March 20 and we had to secure the country before we really pronounced him dead to the world.

Rumor has it the actual axis of evil centers around nukes and who's making them; North Korea's plutonium gets shipped to Libya along with Iraq's nuclear scientists where al-Qadhafi provides labs where nuke assembly can take place.

I'm listening to John and Paul who think that Rumsfeld is painting a bright bull's-eye on the Syrian map because a few trucks with Syrian license plates just happened to get blown by the desert wind into Iraqi territory while a few deadly weapons were in them. Watch out for the Syrian Accountability Act. Ouch.

By the way, has anyone figured out just where the Iraqi minister of mis-information is? After all, there are no troops in Baghdad, are there, no reason to be hiding in a posh hotel in Syria?

Can we deport the Iraqi ambassador to the U.N. now? After all, without Saddam, no one finances his accommodations in New York. There isn't a legitimate reason for him to be in this country since he no longer represents any government holding power. Without Iraqi money and diplomatic immunity, that should put him in the category of a homeless illegal immigrant? Perhaps he will seek asylum for political reasons because he fears for his life at home.

Am I being harsh or just really cynical?
